  1. Dear Thorsten,
I am from India. Its indeed great to know that this awakening about culture in taking place in China and is being promoted by no less than Peking University. Speaking from India, I feel that the colonial rule has been ruthlessly successful in erasing the Indian Philosophical and spiritual-cultural paradigm from the minds of people. This I feel is a great start especially because success (of China or India or any country for that matter) based on western developmental paradigm won't be sustainable in local sense. So surely this start will have positive effect upon Indian tradition also. Otherwise interaction of Indian and Chinese people on basis of 'imported' paradigms and values would be a classical loose-loose situation. But India needs a work a lot as it has to revisit its source and would have to work for inviting some those values today. Peking University deserves our thanks for taking this exemplary work in its focus.
