Star Wars Force Awakens TAOIST Review

Lots of special effects and media sensationalism. Star Wars is technically (Chinese) Taoism with aliens in the future (e. g. the Force (Qi), the Jedi's Way (Tao), the Light and the Dark Side of the Force (Yin Yang), Jedis (Daojun), immortals (Xianren), and so on. This isn't the first time Disney has "borrowed" from foreign originality: Hollywood looted German folklore and Grimm's Fairy Tales, Greek mythology, and Chinese philosophy before. Just saying.

"Wherever the kids have a better life, Chinese parents will send them."

[...] In the West, low-class parents often drag their children down by telling them they are clever and beautiful, and that they can achieve anything in life if only they believe in themselves. In China, however, 99% of the child’s success is believed to be design of the parents. In America, mothers don’t part with their young kids easily; in China, mothers gratefully accept any opportunity that will leave their kids with more affluent friends or relatives abroad. Penniless mothers sell their toddlers to monasteries or the circus; much less for the money than for the conviction that the child will be better off, and learn some skills.

Everything is better than staying with poor parents, is it not? All the same, it’s the parents that make all the life-changing decision for their young –right into young adulthood, if necessary.

Even if those “70m reasons” were realized, it wouldn’t change the universal (Confucian) philosophy toward child-rearing: filial piety, learned helplessness, and being a jerk. On the contrary, if they all had money in the world, the Chinese would still leave their children behind, or hire nannies, and private tutors, or send their children abroad to relatives, affluent friends, or intl schools. They don’t know what else to do with kids, personally. Before recently, they didn’t even have toys, fairy tales, or play dates, let alone religion and clean air. In China: pity ALL the children.

Geld- oder Sachzuwendungen von Chinesen an UN Diplomaten sind noch das kleinste Problem der United Nations.

Die 'UN' (als "brand") mit ihren völlig unübersichtlichen, hunderten von Projekten, Seminaren, Konferenzen, wird gerne benutzt zur Legitimisierung jeglichen Aktivismus oder Pseudowissenschaft, und ist zum globalen Magnet geworden für alle Religionen, Kulte und Sekten, korrupte Professoren und Direktoren, Lobbyisten, Feminazis, Scharlatane und Hochstapler.

Auch deutsche Interessengruppen setzen viel Geld auf ihre Pferdchen in New York, nur werden die natürlich nicht bloßgestellt (noch nicht), weil sie ja keine Chinesen sind. In den USA toben nämlich gerade die Vor-Wahlkämpfe, insbesondere mit strengem Fokus auf die Sino-US relations.

Egal, Kudos für die Amerikaner selbst vor UN Ex-Diplomaten keinen Halt zu machen. In Deutschland würde man es eher nicht wagen, diese Leute hochzunehmen. Siehe FIFA und VW. Egal wie sehr man über die Amerikaner schimpfen mag, ohne die USA wären wir Deutschen den Machenschaften unserer Eliten hilflos ausgesetzt.

Auch die DIE ZEIT schreibt ja immer nur, was in den USA schon längst berichtet wurde. Selbst will man keine Journalisten auf unsere korrupten Eliten in Übersee loslassen. Solidarität und Vetternwirtschaft eben.

News coverage often prevents impartiality of the juries. Damages are estimated. Compensations are out of touch with reality. Bertelsmann, Deutsche Bank, DaimlerChrysler all are frequently tried, and cashed up. Class actions are popular. Bayer was sued by not less than 11,000 individuals, according to Manager Magazine. Pattberg: Le isole rischiano di diventare un nido di kaiju, i mostri giapponesi come Godzilla.

"Il punto critico è focalizzato sulle isole che i cinesi chiamano Diaoyu e i giapponesi, che ne hanno il controllo, Senkaku. Sopra quelle isole e le acque circostanti nel novembre scorso la Cina ha stabilito una “Air defense identification zone”, che in pratica rivendica il controllo su parte dello spazio aereo giapponese e sudcoreano e sfida il trattato di mutua sicurezza tra America e Giappone. Come ha rilevato il sinologo Thorsten Pattberg, le isole rischiano di diventare un nido di kaiju, i mostri giapponesi come Godzilla, “metafore di conflitto, minacce esistenziali, apocalisse, incarnazioni delle guerre passate e future”.

In proporzione appare ben poca cosa il confronto tra Giappone e Corea del sud per le isole di Dokdo (Takeshima in giapponese), piccolo arcipelago tra i due paesi, rivendicato da entrambi e occupato dalla Corea. A complicare i rapporti tra i due alleati dell’America, ci ha pensato il premier giapponese Abe, che il 26 dicembre scorso ha reso omaggio al tempio di Yasukuni, dove sono sepolti anche 14 criminali di guerra. Secondo i nazionalisti “i giapponesi ci vanno a pregare per le anime dei morti in guerra, oltre 2,4 milioni, non per glorificare la guerra o giustificare i criminali di guerra”. Ma è chiaro che il gesto ha offeso i coreani, soggetti al dominio giapponese dal 1910 al 1945 e vittime di atroci abusi. E’ per tentare di ricucire lo strappo che il presidente Obama ha incluso la Corea nel suo viaggio in Asia."

"Thanks for letting yourself go, Mr. Pattberg. These things need to be said over and over again. We are bombarded with anti-Chinese propaganda in our media. I think editors are so convinced in their prejudices that they don't realize they are publishing half-truths and lies.

In any case, let's trade: China can develop Western rule of law, and the West can develop Chinese effort and ingenuity. When Americans rail at Chinese lack of copyright and patent protection, I remember that when Dickens visited America in the 19th century, he found many unlicensed editions of his works. Strict patent and copyright laws are a luxury that developing economies can best do without.

I noticed recently in a list of members of the Council on Foreign Relations that there were no Chinese names or organizations. Plenty of Japanese ones, however. The desire to make China an enemy starts at the top." --vanisle1
